Fortunately, I've got to a stage now where the depression is a fleeting thing, gossamyr and transient, but the inspiration stays with me, egging me on to try and do better myself. When I was younger, though... boy, that feeling of 'I'll NEVER be that good so why bother even trying?' could sometimes last for WEEKS.
